#4 | | Golden Member | Well this time it's qiute equall, the is no card that is better than the other, both have their strong points.
In the last gen, ATI 9700, 9800 vs Nvidia 5900, 5950 there was a much bigger difference, ATI was ahead.
But now in this generation, its head to head, the X850XT PE being the fastest single card and (by the fastest I mean a few fps here and there) and if you want the fastest then go for 2 6800 ultras in SLI, but the again they cost alot.

#5 | | Guest | For the performanceGeforce 6800 SLI mode is the winner. They got more than 13000+ score in 3dmark2005 using overcloak AMD Athlon FX-55. All the top 20 is Geforce 6800 SLI mode in 3dmark site.
ATI = PS2.x
Nvidia = PS3.0, more function build-in | |

Readon NVIDIA
9600 XT 5900 ULTRA
9200 5200
x800 PRO 6800 GT
X800 XT 6800 ULTRA
as u can see, they are they same all the time, new cards every few motns
look at www.tomshardware.com for Video Cards testing in games , like this: http://graphics.tomshardware.com/graphic/2...tml#3dmark_2003 (there is test for games like doom 3, and more)
