#1701 | | Newbie | | CPU: PhenomII X4 B55 @ 3.7 | | actually I only got 9800GT for PhysX, now BATMAN AC runs well. Im trying to re-install the Batman AA and he Alice Madness Return. Alice just when crashing on the start up, I wonder if I have made some changes that I didnt notice..
Anyway, OCING a PhysX dedicated card will increase FPS?? Im having trouble OCing my 9800GT, system crashes even if I oc only 10 points higher to default..
Isn't that the Cuda cores will drive the Physx not the GPU core and shader? correct me if I am wrong.. ^_^
Ohh I've finished Batman AA before with my HD5670 ddr3, just wanted to play it again with the current set up and see if I'll enjoy it the most like when I first played it ^_^

You can also find some modded Firmware to allow you to go further in voltage and settings for your card, at least I found one for mine but didn't needed it yet. Make sure you have good cooling though you don't want to blow your card... |

#1703 | | Newbie | | CPU: PhenomII X4 B55 @ 3.7 | | Ive tried using MSI's afterburner, but from time to time, systems mess up, it got confused with the toxic controlled by Sapphire trix. Ill be trying it again soon when I got a better cooling for the 9800GT, on idle it stays 55 degree Celsius and reaches around 60+ when loaded even if the stock fan is at its 100%. I guess old cards are bit hotter than the newer ones
Just got Alice to run again, removed the physXdevice.dll and FPS went up playing around 30-60 FPS, currently trying to DL the patch for Batman AA 1.0 to 1.1, this may fix the crash issue I encounter
This what FPS I got to my set-up I have
Alice Madness return = 30-60 (all max settings)
Batman AC = 30-50 (all max settings) (I just love how the carpet works, I made Catwomen to crawl over around and round at the carpet lolx)

#1704 | | Newbie | | GPU: ATI 4870+NVIDIA 8600GT | | ALICE MADNESS + HYBRID PHYSX MOD
(nvidia driver 285.62 + physx 9.11.0621 + patch v1.05ff )
Hi everyone, this is my first post and I would like to share this information with you about Alice Madness Return and Physx Mod. The standard way says just to delete "Physxdevice.dll" from Alice Madness bin32 folder, but for me it didn't work, in fact gpu-z shows no activity on geforce 8600 gt, even with physx on high. So I replaced the deleted "Physxdevice.dll" with the one from the " C:\Program Files (x86)\NVIDIA Corporation\PhysX\Common" folder and tried again. This time all worked perfectly. I hope this information could be useful to you all. Sorry for any english mistake in this words, I did my best.

At first mine was like yours, but after re-installing, it went well and able to run without the physXdevice.dll

Sapphire 6850 1gb & Asus 8800gt 512mb
1. Do I install sapp6850 first ?
2. Do I next install Catalyst Software Suite-V12.1=01-25-2012=12-1_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc?
3. Do I shutdown now and insert 8800gt to motherboard? if so I have tried that and I get blue screen.
4. install geforce285.62-2011.10.24-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql
5. install NVIDIA.PhysX.SystemSoftware-v9.11.1107-2011.11.10
6. run PhysX-mod-1.05ff
What are the correct steps?
Where and when do I restart? Do I need to install anything on safe-mode?
Do I only plug one monitor and if so on which card ?
I have even tried PhysX-mod-1.03 and still no luck, I don't know which ati driver I should use and I don't see the fake monitor.
What is WDDM v1.1 exactly? I did install it on nvidia geforce 8800gt but when I install geforce285.62-2011.10.24-desktop-win7-winvista-64bit-english-whql it gets overwritten anyways so I don't understand why the thread of PhysX-mod- talks about it so much.
Help and thank you. |

#1710 | | Newbie | | CPU: AMD PhenomII X6 1090T | | hmm, i'm getting the same as you now esukoto.. i had alice working before the new year fine in 3d and with physx (i put it to medium as my geforce was overheating on high). i had a few other games played between then and now (including installing and getting batman AC to work with physx), and now alice won't work :S
same as you described, it crashes on startup.. in particular, when i click continue and the loading screen appears alice crashes. if i move physx to low, it loads fine, but medium or higher and the game crashes in loading.. any ideas how to fix this? must've been something from getting batman AC working affected alice but i'm not sure what :S |
