i don't know what part specifically is broken but since you've been using the new cp i can not get a proper 1080 from hdmi.

i have to go back to 9.6, the last one you released with the old cp and hook the monitor/tv back to dvi and re-hotplug the hdmi again to get proper 1080.

i just wanted you to know because i appreciate your work and i would like to see your releases work again. for all i know it is the driver itself but it has only been doing this since 9.7 w/new cp and all of them since then...

just to clarify; there seems to be a "known issue" with the driver not recognizing the hdmi until after it has been hotplugged from dvi to hdmi so with each install this has to be done (which is bad enough and they need to fix it) but it always corrects the issue on 9.6 and below to simply switch back to dvi cable for a moment and replug the hdmi but it's not updating the signal after the hotplug with 9.7 and later...

i guess is what i meant to say but maybe you understood me initially, i didn't think i was too clear on my first attempt to explain the situation...

well, the wdm install did not fix it and the avivo rar is corrupt.

thanks for trying, i guess it's up to ati to fix this. i will file a report i guess if i can figure out how...
personally i think this is some form of drm that ati is stumbling over, it only fucks up 1080p...

also you might like to know, these files are corrupt:
ATI Catalyst 9.9 AGP with New CP.exe
ATI Catalyst 9-8 legacy with New CP.exe
ATI Catalyst 9.9 with New CP New AVIVO.exe

i don't know if it's filefront or what, i haven't tried to grab them from elsewhere yet.

sorry for the delay but i just double verified, it is the files only hosted on filefront that are corrupt...

i'm still willing to try the avivo if you want to put it elsewhere. or could i just try it myself by swapping old files with new? i did that with the cp for my first attempt but it did not work so i contacted you...
