Anyone see any performance increase from upgrading from the 191 drivers (PhysX only I mean)? |

#784 | | Newbie | | CPU: Core i7 920 OC'd 4GHz | | Just to update: installed new driver, and new patch, and it worked.
Small note: no matter what I did, I could not install in normal mode. But safe mode worked like a charm on the first try.
However, I cant offer any update on performance increase, as I dont play anything that is as PhysX dependent like Batman or something. And my 5850 runs most things at 100+FPS regardless. |

I have to agree with GameGuy369: It seems that patching in normal mode doesn't work, UNLESS you kill the mentioned processes in the Readme. This worked perfectly previously because of the renaming to nvapi64.tmp from nvapi64.dll
HOWEVER, I hadn't removed my previous nvapi64.tmp file. Could it be that you aren't overwriting the nvapi64.tmp file? In that case it will, of course, fail to work if there is already a file present. Though the best would probably be to remove that file at the BEGINNING of the patching process.
Or have you removed that feature?
Otherwise it seems to work fine.
Btw.: Is it just me or is the nVidia driver getting bigger with each release? I mean it has reached 133MB (Windows 7 64Bit; English language only) now. That is double the size of the ATi driver and I already think that the ATi driver is quite big.
