Click on the link above, that's the solution for you, I also had the same issue with Mirrors Edge and now works great with PhysX on hardware with no slowdowns.

#603 | | Golden Member | About Ageia PPU patch:
I sent testing sample for all users who owns PPU card and asked to be a tester. Results should be good.
About 195.xx drivers:
For now some users report that 195.xx beta are glitchy and give BSODs. I don't know if this is also true for "secondary" card mode as PPU, but i think we should wait for WHQL drivers, then new mod should support both beta and WHQL 195 drivers. 195.39 beta are already modded properly and working fine according to 1 tester (didn't give it to anyone else yet).
And some other stuff:
There are some games which are discussed at many forums due to their performance issues for ati cards, while working fine on nvidia cards. Would be great if someone with non-nvidia GPU + secondary nvidia GPU would test them with and without PhysX acceleration. For example:
- Borderlands
- NFS: Shift
Both games uses PhysX ("in CPU mode only" as said by some users). I haven't seen any clear statement nor confirmation of this however. I wonder if nvidia GPU can really help with physics here.

Disabling NV card does not impact on game performance on my setup. I get constant 60fps+ with or without hardware PhysX. The game uses PhysXLoader v2.8.1.33 so it shoudn't be any problem with hardware PhysX. |

#606 | | Professional Member | As regards Borderlands if you go to the "willow engine" in document/my games/config......open the willow engine in note book there is a line...forget the full detail but it starts:-
bDisablehardwarephysx.....:True (or something similar) some have suggested just changing that to False
Dont know if it works though.
PS GenL....got your PM thanks....will try that later. |

#608 | | Member | Patch works great! Hello All
First off if the GenL on this site is the very person that created that patch to get physx working while ATI cards are present, Thankyou very much!!
Works perfectly!
My friend tried it on his i7 with dual 4870x2 in CF with GT220 and it worked so i went out and bought a 9800GT Low powered version and added that to my 4890 CF, followed the instructions and Wala! works perfectly. Fluid mark detected hardware Physx (11000 at 1280x1024 resolution) while rendering with the 4890s and Vantage also recognized Hardware physx. The second Vantage CPU test went from a pathetic 30 OPS to 121 OPS!. CPU score went from 24k to 43k and the final performance score went from P21000 to P24445!!
Now i can play Mirrors edge in All its glory thanks to your efforts, i finished it without Physx (tried to run it on the 4890s CF alone and it played horribly) so now i will play through again but this time with all the trimmings (Physx).
One question i installed the 1.91 drivers from Nvidia and did the patch thing and was able to get the Physx working however i didnt install the seperate Physx Drivers do i need to do that and if so do i need to re do the patch? thanks a million
