Just to add something. I've the same config, HD4850+9800GT and AA doesn't work for me with 9.9 (sometimes works in the menu), if i remove the 9800GT still doesn't work in any of the multiple configs of the CCC or ATT. So the problem is in some other place.

In Mirror's Edge, Cryostasis, Warmonger, Darkest of Days and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter AA works flawslessly.

Well, look at 3DMark06\ folder - it contains "PhysXCore.dll" and "PhysXLoader.dll". If you delete those files, 3DMark06 will not run. If you remove only PhysXCore.dll (like in Mirrors Edge to enable hardware PhysX) 3DMark06 will run but will crash on CPU Tests.

So, it's like in Mirrors Edge - 3DMark06 has 'own' (old?) PhysX software and doesn't use system DLLs. You can force Mirrors Edge to use hardware PhysX but I couldn't force 3DMark06 to use any other DLLs. It seems those DLLs are modified for 3DMark and are not compatible with any other (newer) PhysX version. But I think they should work with original Ageia PPU card. Can someone confirm this and post some scores with and without PPU card??

hey, buddy, I notice if I run the BmLauncher.exe, and disable the physx option (set to OFF), then set 4xMSAA in CCC, and AA works fine in the game menu and in the game, no matter what Cat version I use.

I also find I can not let 9800GT do hardware physx in Mirror's Edge, and the game stop working if I let 9800 GT do hardware physx in Cryostasis benchmark downloaded from NZONE.

ok, I should read the thread from the first page to know how to enable physx in Mirrors Edge .

Hey GenL thanks so much for this! Really apperciated!!!

I was just wondering 2 things.

1) I have a Quad Crossfire MB and have my 2 4870's in crossfire in slots 1 and 3. I have a 9500GT in slot 2, does this make a difference? Should I move slot 3 up to 2 and put the 9500GT in slot 3? I just don't want the 4870's so close due to heat..

2)Is Physx still avaible on a 9500GT? I read here somewhere that the lower end ones lost support with the newer drivers?

I can set Physx to enabled, so I'm guessing its still working?

Thanks guys.

Thx to nvidia physx´s lots reinstalling they got my window´s reg messed up.
Oh I see, so using the nvcuda.dll can allow PhysX games to run with the older 8.09 PhysX runtime?, but I would love to know and willing to try that trick once I receive my AGEIA card to see if it works with the latest PhysX system software.

Im not able yet confirm that but somes say yes and others no.
Cant yet test, see when i could reinstall my Win7 so i can keep testing others ways.
That version what i did get working were 8.09.04 exactly. Without nvcuda.dll, its cant load cuda library or part of it, and its need upper version than 8.04.25 to load it. And 8.09.04 is latest version which supported and did have Ageia (PPU) drivers with in.

Sorry, my bad. However, 3DMark 2006 is useless to test your GPU hardware PhysX performance, that's what i meant. Vantage should do it, since they are allowing hardware PhysX acceleration for CPU tests (and that's is confusing actually). I guess 2006 version is better to test real CPU performance when it comes to fairness. Oh wait, now we know that PhysX is the worst way to test CPU, since its multi-core optimizations are removed by nvidia... heh

Not my case. No mather what i dont have AA in Batman. I dont want to do a driver sweet at this age of the mont, when the official 9.10 popup i do a clean install with driver sweeper and more tests.

You need to delete or rename two files that emulates PhysX via CPU, PhysXCore.dll and PhysXDevice.dll. They are both in the binary folder of the game. This issues happens even if you have an NV GPU since Runtimes 9.xx.xxx.xx.

About Cryostasis, the demo and the benchmark wont work good with ATI in Shader Model 4.0, but the final game has an update to correct and improve the ATI as render and the NV as Physics card. If you install the game and then the update it will work fine.
