vjcsmoke, it was a shame. Sorry. Now i removed everything... try it.
Attached Files PhysX-mod-x86-1.04.rar (15.3 KB, 9 views)
PhysX-mod-x64-1.04.rar (15.5 KB, 17 views)
| OK so I started windows into safe mode and it appeared that the files were patched successfully using patch 1.04 for Win 7 64. However, when I reboot windows into normal mode and bring up the physx manager it still has the hardware acceleration for physx greyed out/turned off. I feel really stupid here. What am I doing wrong??
I think for some reason it's still able to detect that there are no monitors plugged into it and thus it refuses to 'put out' physx acceleration?

The thing is, we can still fight this protection.
Besides, 191.03 are already enough for every game released by now, i think. You don't have to wait for next driver release, as it is unlikely to increase PhysX processing speed.
vjcsmoke, which GeForce driver are you using? |

Besides, second monitor is not required - for example you can use one monitor for both cards if it has several inputs. Someone described that in this thread already... | I want to add that you don't even need a monitor with more than one input.
The reason is that you can "force" the nVidia card to think it is connected.
You can do so by entering the Display-Settings of WINDOWS (not nVidia or ATi) then press the "Detect" button then there should be various new "grey" monitors. One of them is from the nVidia card - you click on that to activate and then there is a comobox with "No display detected". If you change that one to "Try to connect anyway on: VGA" and press "Apply" you have a non-existent monitor to which you can extend your desktop.
This SHOULD (at least it works for me on my nVidia 9600GT and also some others) to get the nVidia Control Panel and PhysX to work.
If you want to see images of what I mean you can find them here (German site and interesting regarding the images from "2. Monitor erweitern:" onwards): http://www.overclockingstation.de/gr...nter-win7.html |

#318 | | Newbie | GenL first thx for your work so far.
If you still need People with Ageia PPU for testing, i am own one Asus PCI card.
Have already hooked up in my second machine for testing.
Quadcore, Xp x64 und Crossfire System(3870).
Working so far Mirrors edge, newer games(Batman, Darkest Day) not because of old Physxsoftware. |

But as I'm an owner of an Ageia PhysX PPU and an ATI card I would like to help test the Ageia PPU project you're working on.
As I'm finding more and more games/applications that require a newer PhysX install than 8.09.04.
And thank you for helping out those that are getting screwed by Nvidia's wicked ways of running things. |
