Default Help with Windows

I don't know if this is the right place to post this but if you mods feel like it, just move it to the right place.
Here's my situation, my computer has started to boot itself randomly. I asked around and were told that to remove my soundblaster 24-bit because it could cause collision with my gfx card(geforce 7800 gt). The booting stopped for a while but has now come back, so what I'm asking is that does anyone have a clue what might cause it? I suspected it to be an overheating problem but it wasn't that since the temperature is around 50 celsius.

Here's my setup:

Hec Powermill 800w
Gainward Geforce 7800 gt 512 mb
Necs DVD-rw
LGs DL DVD-rw
Western Digital 500 gb
Western Digital 160 gb
Intel Core Duo 2 E4500
2x Kingston 2 gb ddr 2 667 mhz
Windows Xp Sp3
Avast! Home edition
Sygate Personal Firewall

* Try to use Everest to monitor temps.
* To get BSOD instead of restart, disable the "Auto restart" in system failures (System Properties > Advanced > Startup and recovery).
* Try to check out the event log for driver failures.
* If you're overclocking, increase voltage.
* Try to clean up your system from dust.
* Try to move your GeForce card to the 2nd PCI-Express slot.
* Update your motherboard BIOS to the latest version.
* Try to use older versions of ForceWare.

I had the same question. Is it booting randomly or RE-booting randomly. The way it's stated it sounds like the PC is coming on by itself from an OFF state.

Yeah sorry, it's RE-booting randomly...
I don't know what a wake on lan is but I'll check out the BIOS for anykind of malfunction. I already did a fresh install of windows but it still does it. I'm wondering about flashing my bios, is it really safe to do? I've never done it before and is there a possibility to screw it up? And for the 2nd PCI-e slot..I don't have one. :/

huhu okey. i see i wasn't the only one to think that your computer turn on by itself !!

if it's not a overheating problem, do you overclock your CPU ? because if it's the case, , try to increase the voltage, or ram voltage and run burning test. memtest, prime95, occt, and so on.

No, I'm not OCing my computer...I have installed another cooler for my geforce though since the original fan broke. The new one is some kind of pipesystem. Now I've turned off the restart computer when something happens and wake up on lan thingy which I found in BIOS. It said that it considered PCI-e only, is that correct? There was another option for PCI aswell. Everything else was disabled.

No I haven't..it's a bit tricky, since the heatpipes are firmly attached to the card plus I don't have any thermal paste left. :P I've been asking around though and lot's of people say that it could be my powersupply since it reboots without windows closing down. Just like if you press the reset button.
