so how would an Nvidia card work like a physix card. I have a ageia physyx card, would you download those drivers or the drivers for the nvidea card itself. I was looking at this card here
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814127423

I am going to switch over to AMD chip because of the prices and I have tried the intel cpu and I am not really happy with it. What motherboard would you recommend for the Phenom II X4 965 BE chip and 2 ATI dx 11 crossfire video cards.
I would need 3 or 4 PCIE 2 slots and a pcie 1 slot for a xeno bigfoot nic(or pci) and I need to find a goodtv card as well as a good audio card. so all slots would be taken up and a PSU that could handle the need for power and a case that would keep everything cool, or possibly water cool. Any advice is appriciated, thanks!
I want the best of both worlds, cuda physix and ATI Stream.

that would probly be your best bet there. dont get the xeno, with a quad core it pretty useless. I have a pci killernic and its sitting in a box somewhere and will never get used unless it goes in a workstation. great firewall but thats it. get a xonar sound card. not too sure on the tv card. Play it safe a get a good 900w+ psu, either pc power an cooling, corsair, or ocz. go with a major brand name when picking a psu or you will regret it.

the gts 250 will be good for a physx card too. dont really need much more. you can always over kill it like me and get a gtx 260 used in a for sale forum somewhere for pretty decent price.

I was totally a lie. Never existed and will never exist. It took 2 years and still there is nothing. A few fake screen shots and nothing more...

I asked this question to Rege by PM and didn't reply to me...

None of us will be able to use PhysX on ATi. But AMD is going to announce it's own hardware accelerated physics API.

Funerall - no. If AMD is going to announce something...it is a bullet or havok, both of which will use OpenCL...and if you don't know, NV has it too...and with more mature driver

I said "there won't be any PhysX on ATi but will be physics on ATi".

http://www.amd.com/us/press-releases...009sept30.aspx

Here is the announcement from AMD that shows AMD and Pixelux are going to develop their physics which is based on Bullet Physics Engine. May will be avaible on nVidia or not I cannot know but there will be. But ATi will accelerate that physics with hardware. Doesn't matter it's OpenCL or not. They will support physics that's the point.

nVidia has really mature drivers that no one can refuse. They spend lots of money on development of PhysX. There is a long way ahead that AMD has to take. We will see...
