I got my 9.5s from the link I posted in the other thread.

I agree with Spectator. You should either wait for the 5800 series and get those because of DX11, or wait for the 5800 series to come out and buy a 4870 or 4870 X2 for much less money.
Well, the fact is that by the time DX 11 becomes 'mainstream' and games are using it, it'll be time to upgrade video cards again anyway. So, I don't see it as a waste of money if I can actually see some increased performance now.

two 260's on a single card, and not being double the performance,. no its not worth it.

edit
after seeing the performance of this card, my stance on this has changed.

Well, then you could take the option to wait for the 5800 series and then buy a 4870 X2 and get great frame rates in pretty much every game out right now.

Thumbs up Go for it.

Got my 4770 last week and havent looked back. Put my nVidia 9600GT straight on ebay. I get double the score in 3Dmark vantage.

Go for it!

I'm quite worried about the 128-bit wide memory bus on this HD 4770. Given only a few dollars difference, I'd always prefer 256-bit.

have a look at this => http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/...re,2288-4.html

Getting a 4770 is really interesting if you'll buy another one for crossfire.
As you can see in the article, crossfire double performances.

If you are looking for a single card solution, spend few more dollars and buy a 4850. it's a 256 wide memory bus. And 1Go instead of 512 for the 4770.

Well, here's the real dilemma: The 4850's that I've seen have DDR3 as opposed to the 4770 having DDR5. Now, just how much of a difference does that make between a 128-bit and a 256-bit memory bus is my question.

I'd like to see a straight comparison between the two cards just for the sake of it.
