#12 | | Newbie | | CPU: Intel E6850 @ 3.00GHz | | | GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 9600 GT | | I've been experiencing some problems with this driver.
I have Vista 64-bit and a NVIDIA GeForce 9600 GT and every time I try updating to this version, my computer malfunctions horribly.
Some of the the specific problems include:
1. The resolution of my screen gets too big for my entire desktop (I.E. I can move my mouse and drag items off the right side of the screen.)
2. Whenever I shutdown or put my computer to sleep, it will force me to start up in Safe Mode for one reason or another (if I try a normal boot, it will stay at a black screen before the log in shows up.)
The driver usually works fine for 10-15 minutes before failing big time.
Anyone know of a fix I could use after installing? |

Reboot, to normal mode and reinstall it, then reboot again.
Check your memory timings. and update to SP2 |

#15 | | Newbie | | CPU: Intel E6850 @ 3.00GHz | | | GPU: NVIDIA Geforce 9600 GT | | Thanks for the info and sorry for not introducing myself, I quickly looked though the forum and didn't see an introduction thread so I just went ahead and selfishly posted my problem.
I'll try out your solution and post back with some hopefully good results, thanks again squall. |

#17 | | Banned | unfortunately, only the Driver uninstall/install can be done in safe mode, since the Control panel is now installed seperately it can only be removed/installed when in real mode |
