Default Do you have a DirectX 10 GPU?

If you do, what do you think about its DirectX 10 performance? Can you play DirectX 10 titles with decent frame rate? Are you happy with your DirectX 10 card?

So far, I've been very pleased with my HD 3870 512 MB card. But, ASAP, I'll be getting a 4870.

The only DX10 full title I have is Crysis. I completed it, however, on a HD 2600XT and did OK with it. I've played some of it on the 3870, but, not enough to give a good answer.

The games I DO play, however, I've been very happy with the overall performance.

You may want to ask at which settings the games are being played in order to make them playable, though.

Oh, BTW, here's a link to the current and upcoming DX10 games....

So far the HD4870 is a very good bang for buck and running in mid-high/high (depending on game engine) DX10 settings, but I'd love to see it would run PhysX too.

There aren't any games that : A)Are good B)Have DX10 support AND C)Look better enough in DX10 to justify using it.

I have radeon hd2600xt and integrated gpu radeon hd3200. With 2600xt i can play some games in dx10, with 3200 dx10 gaming is impossible, the only except is bioshock, it runs damn good on most machines.

If you ask about difference between dx9 and dx10 i reported it in assassin's creed and bioshock. Difference was really big, it is big performance and visual boost. With dx10 Assassin runs smoother and looks more nice, same bioshock. But crysis... with dx9 this game is playable at my machine but with dx10 it is totally unplayable.

i actualy have 2 dx10 gpu's.. lol as for dx10 it's ok but up till now nothing that really gives u a "must have" reason.
as for my vga i'm pretty happy with it and probably will keep it for at least another year ( next on the list is 4870x2 or 2 x 4830 heh)
