#1 | | Newbie | Please help Pretty noobish...built my first system this summer. Just installed a second 4870 and trying to run in CF. My system recognizes the card in Device Manager, yet CF is not an option in the CCC?
Anyone else experience this or have any suggestions?
Thank you in advance,
Deacon |

#4 | | Site Staff | 1. Uninstall ATI Catalyst.
2. Update BIOS to the latest revision.
3. Make sure the cards are in the right slots.
4. Make sure the bridge is connected in the right way.
5. Make sure the VGA/DVI cable is connected to the first card (Right one).
6. Make sure everything is fine inside the BIOS settings.
7. Reinstall the latest ATI Catalyst.
8. GPU-Z can't detect Crossfire on Vista x64, so make sure to use CCC.

#7 | | Site Staff | This motherboard has three PCI Express slots: PCIE1 at x16, PCIE3 at x4 or x1 and PCIE4 at x1. Look for some option in the BIOS that spilts the x16 to dual x8. |

#8 | | Stuck in "April 1st" | | M/B: Asus Rampage Formula | | | RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB PI Black | | Bear in mind the P35 is a very bad chipset for crossfiring and especially more so for dual 4870s. Even when/if you get crossfire working I recommend a motherboard upgrade.

I did hit 17k in 3DMark06 and P12650 in Vantage but other than that it didnt take long to remove the second card |
