Default ATI Tray Tools overclocking help

So since i formated my PC ive decided to run driver only with tray tools, as I got tired of the bloated CCC and have no use for the useless CP.

Well, ive been trying to OC my card to what i could with overdrive, like 620xi forget what the best memory setting way lol

anyways, everytime i set the freq's to what i want and then hit apply try tools in all its wisdom changes them to some other wacky lower numbers, how do I get it to use the freq's i specified?

Thanks guys

Please refer to the ATI Tray tools forum on guru3d - there you can ask Ray (the creator) personally

BTW - ATI Tray tools is way better than rivatuner for ATi cards.

The problem with the ATT is that the devloppement goes with what RAY thinks , it took an long time before the ATT was compatible with vista , just because Ray Adams didn't wanted to make an version for vista because he had beliefs that vista sucks... Anyways... personaly for new stuff it's always recommanded to use RivaTuner... because it's the software who is more updated frequently. For the options of the CCC etc it's ATT . Anyways it's an long time i don't use ATT just because of the slow devlopement and updates about issues. You can be sure that the CCC works perfect with your GPU

I disagree with you IModAmd.
I've been a reader/member of the guru3d forums ATT section for a long time and Ray is very responsive, and constantly developing ATi Tray Tools.
It's true that no new version was released for some period of time earlier when Vista came out, but fortunately - an 'internal' test version was released quickly and could be downloaded from Ray's personal storage folder on the net.

Besides - Rivatuner doesn't provide driver level voltage, fan and clock modifiers.
I'm underclocking and throttling my fans and setting voltages dynamically via ATT.
Tryed Rivatuner but it simply doesn't provide such functionality.
And I've never had any problems with never Catalyst drivers beeing incompatible.

yea i find ATT has better functionality but it still needs some work, for example i cant get the fan settings to stay after reboot so i gotta change all my fan setting everytime I start the computer which is annoying as hell (i increase the fan speeds to compensate for the oc)

@PrEzi
i tried att and the problem is to press F8 every time you boot up to be able to use any tweak is annoying. (if you dont do that, it tells you that the driver is unsigned and it cant be loaded - if you know a work around, of you have a signed version, let me know!!!)

greets

lumo : I know a workaround but now I'm at work
I'll update you with the details when I come back home.

UPDATE : OK, I'm back.
Please refer to this manual about testsigning.
http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33920573

The needed tools (capicom.dll, certmgr.exe, makecert.exe, signtool.exe) can be found in the half-open connection fix package located here :
www.half-open.com

Hope it helps
