found a shop now which sells the 4870 with 512 mb for about 215 euro,
still... not sure if i should grab it - would be nice if i could sell the 9500 for a few bucks

What kind of monitor do you have? Isn't that resolution a bit excessive? I find that for my 19'' LG Flatron CRT 1280x1024 @ 90Hz is my sweet spot.
