Regeneration, can we close the thread until something does develop. your last statement should be enough for everyone to accept and jus drop it. working with partners and corporations can be tricky and sometimes its like swimming in a shark tank with a steak tied around your neck. you gave us an answer. it is indefinate due to outside sources. so there is no reason to have a thread where people flame each other and dont get the point. Please close the thread and if you have any information later you can post it .

Thank you for all your hard work, putting up with the red tape and the actions of others pressing you as well.

I've been Following these Topics since I first heard this.

And i have been Compelled to register to speak a few things of my Mind.

Gratz on Rege for taking on this project I hope it indeed gets finished, no matter the time frame best to take time and get it good then fast and have issues.

And secondly Becasue i am sick of seeing ignorant stupid posts by LyLa, Every Post I've read from the person makes me want to stab both their eyes with a pencil dipped in lemon juice and salt.

for some one who doesnt care about the project you shure seem to spend 24/7 reading posts and complaining about crap.

Why cant we just ban the person, they seem to be uslessly posting and flaming non stop..

A shame this is my first post here but i am glad to be apart of this community from now on and its Very nice to meet you all ^^

i too am a new guy. been watching these threads since the original post on physx on hd3850. i am excited as well but not excited enough to bicker like lyla. totally pointless whining about it really. what im more interested in is the video transcoding on radeon cards. i know nvidia has badaboom and rapihd for adobe premiere. ill be way more interested in that since i encode a lot of video for families.

hi everybody.

Ahhh. Thank you for the update Rege. I registered on this forum to say thanks for the update. This mess was pretty predictable. No such things as politics-free world and this is probably withholding rege from posting anything in particular.

In case some of you don't understand, since Rege is associated with the mod and I am not, Im assuming I have a bit more free will to say and take a stab at whats going on.

This is for that person whose complaining on this entire thread this whole time. NO MORE THREADCRAPPING TY

Nvidia being the green goblin that they are has decided to produce a terrible series of graphics cards that have all in themselves, crapped out at last. Honest to heart, they are awfully willing to "cooperate" and help with driver development until they realize, the new ati cards are really chewing into their profits. So they decide for "legal" reasons to withhold or mess around with physx until they used it up as a primary advantage to get more nvidia cards to be sold than ati cards.

The 84 86 failures.
The bashing of Larrabee
The absence of AMD support.
Companies like Gainword turning red.
The success of the 4000 series.

AMD is in a lot more debt than you could imagine but hey, they have an entire platform. To amd, physx is nothing more than just putting a different core in the cpu chip alongside the x86 core. Nvidia's future isn't looking so hot. So why the hell would they want something working on an ati card? Plus, Havok is pretty deeply imbedded in a lot of games. itll take a long time for physx to gain a lot of market share anyhow.

If you don't like this explanation. Go away.

As i alredy mentioned before all the physx stuff is just programming...(C for be exact) if AMD/ATI want to beat Nvidia they should do an option like Physx acceleration on theirs cards... You sould be surprised with an simple 8800 GT and an Q6600 how enable the physx option boost the system. By 5-6 times you have an better physx score. So imagine if AMD do this with the 4xxx series Who got alot more calculation power

yeah. the thing is, if you remember, amd signed on with havok physics for their own physics api. not sure what the current news is with that but im pretty sure amd will someday implement physics to their cards. amd "cuda" is called STREAM SDK.

I think some people actually need to read the thread and posts within properly, and stop making silly assumptions.

ok one thing in case you got something done but can't finish it because of XYZ or want give up because of XYZ
please release it as opensource project , no matter what it would be shame to just trash code which may be expanded by someone else ...

anyway good luck
