Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!!

We may be onto something here now. For an example, "Actually the Sapphire HD3850 Box cover reads, "450 Watt or greater power supply with 30 Amps on 12 volt rail with 2x4 power connector recommended." [Copied from another forum.]

EDIT: Your AGP card will not require that amount of AMPerage. However, you should look for a PSU with no less than 20 AMPs on the +12V rail.

If your PSU is not providing the proper AMPerage to the video card, you're going to continue to have problems. A LOT of people try to skimp by with a cheap PSU and that's a huge mistake.

Also, another thing to consider is that oftentimes, a user will try to power more than one device off the +12V rail and that's also a mistake. The video card should be powered by an isolated connection from the PSU with no other device connected to it. (Example: Many people attach a "Y" molex connection in order to add other devices. Do NOT Do this with the video card's power.)

Definitely double check your PSU specs. If the 3850 isn't getting at least 30 AMPs, you need to be looking for a much, much better PSU.

Good luck!

EDIT 2: Here's something for you to read....
