I prefer post an specific topic for my prob.

Here's my configuration:

AMD Athlon xp 3000+
1.5go of ram
Sapphire HD3650 512mo DDR3 agp
PSU Lcpower 480w

Note my prob is only on windows XP,not on Vista :/ That's weird no?

With this games : Tomb Raider Legend,BF2142,Fear extraction point,HL2,

I've an BOSD on start of game,or little time after starting.

The BOSD tell to me just 0x0000008E,just that.

Here's my minidumps:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/2b53...i072308-01_dmp

This for Tomb Raider Legend

And two of FEAR extraction point:

http://www.filefactory.com/file/7889...i072408-01_dmp

http://www.filefactory.com/file/1125...i072408-04_dmp

So,we find atiduag3.dll and the AEC.SYS, DMusic.SYS, CDAUDIO.SYS, SFLOPPY.SYS, SPLITTER.SYS, DRMKAUDIO.SYS, KMIXER.SYS.
But i'm update to XP service pack 3,so i can't install fixes of Oscarin...

I'm very boring now I'm desesperate I hope someone can help me.I've heard someone talk about regen's drivers?But i think they're don't compatible with my HD3650 :/

Thanks in advance for any help.

Thanks for advice.

I want try xtrem G drivers but i doubt they could recognyze my card :/

Thanks again.

Edit:

ok i've just tried the xtremG,doesn't work too.

I really hate it when I see people posting problems with ATI cards and using motherboards with VIA chipsets. There is a LONG history of problems when these two elements get put together. I no longer even consider motherboards that use VIA chipsets for my own systems.

You can try finding the latest chipset drivers and BIOS for your motherboard and see if that helps the situation. But, I, personally, would not hold my breath as the video card is so much newer than that motherboard. Even the latest BIOS I could find [ver 7] is over three years old.

Other than this, I have no other suggestions than to upgrade the motherboard with one that doesn't use VIA.

Hi.

Thanks for your response.

Actually,i've done memtest with Vista,5 passes,no problems.

I never heard problems VIA/ATI cause i've never had any probs with my old ATI cards^^

So,i continue search problem issues,i can't buy anithing for the moment,so i hope it's not hardware problem.

The card is from 3 June 2008.

Thanks for your help.
Edit:

so no hope for me.

I've updated my VIA chipset.Agp drivers+hyperion 5 in 1,+ reinstall ATI sapphire hotfix drivers. And i've set my card fan to 80% and same BSOD at same time.

Well...I wait for new rig now.

Thanks.

While I can't independently verify it, I had talked with ATI Tech support on this issue over the years. What they tell me is that VIA fails to provide the proper support for ATI cards. It has something to do with the AGP BUS and how VIA sets it up.

If you have the option in your BIOS, you might try changing to AGP 4X if you're presently using 8X.
