#11 | | Newbie | Thanks for you help.
I try this option before.I try too fast write enabled/disabled,no way...
Always this BSOD.
The only question i've to answer is why this bsod doesn't happen on Vista.
ati3duag.dll is not on Vista catalyst drivers if i remember good.
So,it's just this file who make the error,or conflict with Via chipset like you tell.
In all cases thanks for your support.

Cya. | Here is what one VIA/ATI user found to work..... (Posted from another forum) "Thank you for posting this message ^_^
Seems I haven't been paying attention, since this is actually (sadly) the first time I have ever heard of incompatibility between Via chipsets and Ati cards.
Considering that I've been running a 9600 Pro for years and now a x1650 Pro for just a few months (all on the same old Via motherboard) I guess I've been one of the lucky ones.
Anyway, the reason I want to say thank you is because although things have been working decently, I did have the occasional blue screen, or a game that wouldn't want to work properly, but I've always been blaming that on my outdated hardware (some of it is still 10 years old).
After reading this though I got rid of the Via Agp drivers and started using the Microsoft ones (which are a few years older) and low and behold, no more bluescreens as of yet.
Also, those games that gave me trouble before seem to work now.
Even if the problem might not be fixed completely, there is a definite improvement.
Knowing what I do now of course I'll get a motherboard with a different chipset next time, if my wallet is willing ^-^"
So, if you go into Device Manager and Uninstall the VIA AGP drivers, then, go to Windows Updates and let it scan your system, select to use the Microsoft AGP drivers instead of the VIA drivers. Hopefully, you'll have good luck.

#13 | | Newbie | Really thanks for your suppor Dyre,it's cool^^
I try desinstall agp VIA driver and install uagp35.sys from MS,but same BSOD...So it's maybe hardware prob(but once again, why not on Vista?)or it's simply OS+motherboard+Gpu incompatibility?
Thanks for help,i hope any times there are a solution, but nothing work.

#15 | | Newbie | Ok.Thanks for your link.
My Northbridge is:
North Bridge VIA VT8378 UniChrome KM400
Thanks
Edit:
I've let windows install himself the driver. Its call uagp35.sys
Another point.I contact Sapphire to try to find a solution, they answer me :
Dear Sir
Sir, try download from this link for your motherboard driver: http://www.chaintech.com.tw/a41_prod...=pro&mk=176&sk=
It's better follow our steps:
1: Reinstall your OS system
2: Update your motherboard driver to the latest version
3: Update your OS system
4: Install v8.6 or v8.7 hotfix for your card driver.
Try those steps, Thank you.
Regards
I try these steps(with no more hope ...)
Again,BSOD,lol,i've really no chance.
See you .

#16 | | Newbie | Hi people.
I've read about problems with VIA old mobo and ATI,some guys fix the problem with the BIOS option AGP driving control?
My default value is to DA.Min=00 Max=00ff in hexadecimal.
Do you know some tweaks about this?
Thanks. |

Cya. | Here is some information about the 0xffffffff error... http://kb.backupassist.com/articles.php?aid=3001
I can't come up with any information about the other error message. However, you should download Memtest86+ and run it at least overnight to see if there are any errors produced with your System RAM. www.memtest86+.com
If you are overclocking anything at all, revert to default clocks. Also, if you are using AUTO settings for your System RAM, go into the BIOS and manually set the timings to the spec timings for your RAM.
AND, are you mixing different RAM from different manufacturers? If so, try removing RAM modules down to only one manufacturer at a time and try the test/games again.
It IS weird that some games are producing errors while others are not. AND, it's interesting that these errors are only happening in VISTA. (I can't recall offhand if the problem games are running on DirectX or OpenGL, though. It's been a LONG time since I played Chaos Theory and haven't played it on Vista. I don't own TRL.)
Good luck and report back with any results....good or bad.

#19 | | Newbie | Hi.
Thanks again for your support.
I already do memtest for long time(4 or 5 hours).
I put only one of my RAM modules.Same error.
Nothing is overclocking.One thing:
-on TRL for example,I've many chance for error when i set shadows on,when it's off,no problem(for little time...)For now i play this game on Vista, but if i set all settings for max,so game crash with this 0xffffffff error or other.Vista is best for crash cause he can reboot the GPU,i read that somewhere.XP crash the system.
-on SPCCT,same thing.I turn off FSAA and shadow, and the game run fine(very smooth with Shaders 3.0)On XP when I set all max on the game, after loading, the game appears and ...BSOD
Well,i continue hoping it's not hardware problem.I'm affread by the PSU.I've prob with 8800 in the past, and i don't know if the PSU is GC killer...But if it's that, why not on Crysis,Overlord,etc...
Thanks again,and see you |
