#2 | | Site Staff | 500w? nope.
You need AGP slot and power supply with 350w and above. Make sure to check out HD 2000 AGP and HD 3000 AGP prices, maybe you can get better card in the same price.
Power supply must be known brand because some companies lie about its rating.

I want this graphics card because i have heard that it is the best AGP card for gaming. |

#4 | | Golden Member | the PSU requierments for the x1950 pro are a 450w PSU with atleast (and here is the KEY) 30amps on the 12V rail, that means that under the +12v column on the little chart on the psu it needs to say atleast 30
The first power supply might work but you will want to ask the seller how many amps are on the 12v rail, and the second one will definetly NOT work so dont bother with it. However, that first one looks like cheap, low effeciency, probably is very cheaply made, i would go for something a little nice, spending a few extra bucks will pay off. Anyways, if i were you I would ask what make that psu is, and if its just a generic brand then ask him for a picture of the chart, but like I said, spend a few extra bucks and get something wit ha good name.

You will likely find that older drivers, say 7.2 or earlier, will actually be more stable with the AGP card than are the newer drivers.
And, do pay attention to the PSU requirements. IF you skimp on that one component, it can mean a LOT of headaches down the road.

#7 | | Golden Member | Im not sure what your budget is, the majority of the PSU's that im finding which will work for you (atleast on the ebay.uk site) are in the E60-80 range, I think you would be able to find one in the store for less because theos prices seem a little rediculous.
As per that case, ask the seller to a picture of the chart on the psu, or ask him to tell you what it read for the +12v rail on the chart |

As per that case, ask the seller to a picture of the chart on the psu, or ask him to tell you what it read for the +12v rail on the chart | i got a reply from the seller and he just said this
" The PSU that come with this case is OEM and is supplied by the case mft. There's no details like that on the PSU, sorry"
I also looked up the power supply and i found this. http://enthusiast.hardocp.com/articl...wsaGVudGh1c2lh
it dont sound too good lol.
i found some more PSU's on ebay just wondered if any of thses are any good? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Mhel-500w-Blue...3286.m14.l1318 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ColorsIT-ATX-5...3286.m14.l1318 http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Cooler-Master-...3286.m14.l1318

#9 | | Golden Member | Which of the powersupplies in that first link of all the reviews is the one that your looking at?
Anyways, i would go for that Cooler Master igreen, its got 2 12v rails with about 20amps on each so thats more then enough power and its at a good price, plus its a good solid psu.
As per the 2 other psu's you listed, the first one only has 19a on the 12v so it wont work, it gave me a laugh though, they put 48a on the 5v rail, nothing powered by that rail will ever need even remotely close to that much power, thats a sure way to spot a cheap psu, they load the other rails and put nothing the the 12v which is the one you really need to have alot of power.
that color-it sucks dont bother with it, it doesnt have enough juice to run much of anything, |
