#1 | | Newbie | Radeon 4850 & 4750 Anyone here a proud owner of one of these two new entries? If so, what brand and style did you get? Did you go for the 512MB version or the 1GB version? Multiple cards? |

#2 | | Newbie | | PSU: Antec 500watt(F.s.p.) | | Yes I just got me a Visonteck Ati 4850 and it is a killer card.It runs to hot for my taste but I have got it O.c. to 700 and the Memory maxed also runs just fine.Temp's though stay right at 87 when playing games.I know that this card will go ALOT faster so I am going to get a water cooling setup for it.I am just Floored at the performance of this card and for 199$ you can not beat.Nivida is sweating this card they were not expecting this I don't think. Why Pay 800$$ for a 280 when you can get the 4870 that keeps up with it and beats it in alot of games and my 4850 does all I need.Plus I want to keep Amd around I am waiting for bulldozer to come out.I have heard rumors about intel Next Cpu will not be able to over clock unless you spend like a grand for the extreme version. |

#3 | | Newbie | Once I got the fan speed kicked up on my card it runs cool to the touch even when gaming. Sounds like a turbo prop but it produces serious cooling power. |

#4 | | Newbie | | GPU: Radeon HD 4850 512MiB | | Today i purchase a Gigabyte Radeon HD 4850 and sell my old 8800 GTS 320MiB. This new has 512 MiB RAM and performance is much better than has my old. I am very satisfy with this product. Later i change cooling, maybe something like Accelero? :-) |

#5 | | Newbie | | GPU: HD4850 Saphire 512MB | | | RAM: 2 x 2GB TeamExtreme800 | | | PSU: 550 CoolerMaster XTRPW | | I got mine HD4850 512MB Saphire. Amazing card, though runs very hot, around 80C idle and 90C load, so i put the Arctic Cooling Accelero S1 Rev.2 with the turbo module on it. Installation was easy, and know it runs around 40C idle and 50C load. While beeing VERY quit! |

#6 | | Newbie | Yes, an Asus EAH4870. Since ATI's driver or Catalyst program had nothing in the way to control the fan speed, I used the software included with my Asus MB. Smart Doctor is a great program and is keeping my card cool and not making too much noise. I am shopping for a vga cooler to totally eliminate the vacuum cleaner ATI put on these cards to cool them, (or try to).
Be prepared, the 4870 can get hot enough to melt stuff. |

#7 | | Dedicated Member | | CPU: E8400@3.6GHz (400x9) | | | GPU: GF8800GT SLI 512MB OC! | | | RAM: 2x2GB 800Mhz Geil Cl4 | | Both 4850 & 4870 are very good cards! 4850 is a bit slower but also cheaper what makes her better(economic) choice... As always Ati has delay with good drivers and both cards have small issues with few games(eg. i think crysis performance should be better). Another problem is they are quite hot... Operating temps(even in windows) are about 75C! But if U are patient to wait for new drivers and these temps dont push U away this cards are realy good choice. |
