Every map is different on its performance consumption. If you’re referring to the multiplayer, then it’s consuming even some more performance. The problem is… it’s time to upgrade your X800PRO since its like four generations old by now. If you have a PCI Express slot, I’d suggest getting a Radeon HD 4850 card instead.

The Radeon HD 3850 can be found in AGP version, but you should wait, maybe they will come up with a HD 4850 AGP too.

I had an X800 XL and loved it in the day! It was [and still is] a great card. It's now being used by a family member who doesn't play that many PC games.

However, I think I would have been surprised if CoD4 was able to do 90 - 100 FPS on that card at just about any settings. So, the big question is: What have you done since you first installed the game? Patches? Updated Video Drivers?

Have you defragged your Hard Drive lately? If not, now's as good a time as any to do it.

At any rate, try to think of anything that's been done since your first experiences with the game and maybe revert to whatever you were using then...e.g. older video drivers.

Good luck!

IIRC, many people using the older AGP cards were having very good results with the 6.11 or 6.12 drivers. You'd have to go to the ATI Drivers site and look up under Legacy drivers to get them.

Good luck!
