We seen with years that the multi-gpu solutions are just an waste of cash for the performance it gives

I have MANY GPUs....but.....

I only use ONE at a time.

Now thats a bullshit!! Multi-GPU is future of PC's just like CPU with Dual cores Quad core...

As for the performance, with good mobo 2x medium GPU(quite cheap) can beat best and most expensive cards... Never tried so dont speak...

2x8800GT OC -> 2x 220$ = 440$
9800GX2 -> 700-750$
GTX 280 -> ~750+ $

Besides earlier not many games supported Multi GPU's now they all do - wake up..
So which one is a waste of money??

..ergo multi-gpu rulez. End.

Yup, my Nobel peace prize should be here any minute now...

TRUE!! But some people cant understand that Multi GPU doesnt mean huge prices - oppositive SLI/CF makes biggest sense when used with med-med/high range GPU's!! For nice price You'll get greap prefrormance...

adding more cores with smaller manufaturing technology cost less money,brain and time than desing a new processer .. on cisc architechture
this is hardware side.. some example.. intel
rest is up to software..

and more things ... CF/SLi just a toy feature of this parallel processing technology
x86 processer is cisc base architechture are the main in user market
gpu are design on risc architechture on purpose to be output device

Seriously guys , all our views aside ....how many games out their scale properly with 2 or more gpus ? Hell I cant even get crysis the most demanding game ever ( I think badly optimized) to use all my 4 cores on my CPU ?

and here I am still getting by with my single lowly x1950, havent met a game i cant max out yet (except crysis lags but its still playable at max), i neve rsee the need to spend retarded ammouts of money whenever a new generation comes out

but im on the multi gpu side personally, you can get some good results without speding insane amounts of cash and it leave you open to upgrading without having to buy a whole new super expensive card

sure cf and sli still needs some wrinkles ironed out but its the sensible solution
