There are 2 cards
4870 & 4870x2

the BM was ran using a 4870 512 vs 9800GX2 1GB

4870 is a 512MB single GPU card
4870x2 is 1GB dual card... AND ITS NOT READY YET..

THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE. RECONSIDER. And Yes that was a slogan... Hey people dont You see a that performance these days is dependent on single or multi GPU?! Just think, here from fastets GF9800GX2 -> 9800GTXSLI -> 8800GTXSLI -> 8800GTSSLI -> 8800GTSLI -> 3870x2 -> 3870CF -> GF9600GTSLI....-> 9800GTX -> 8800GTX..... You will probably shout right now but there was a review of 9600GT SLI on ngohq lately that showed thath it beats all single cards in most common resolutions...

It is simple that right now single GPU has no chances with multi GPU! If 3870x2 is 2x faster than 3870 and it would get beaten about 40% by SINGLE 4870 then how many % faster would it be than single 3870?? IT IS IMPOSSIBLE. Just 2 ways here, they ment 4870x2(im pretty sure) or its a slimy SLOGAN. OPEN YOU EYES.

So even if they are not true... u cannot blame me...

till this benchi came.. everyone was saying 4870 is 1GB and 4870x2 is 2GB

the first site to confirm that the 4870 is 512.. is http://forums.legitreviews.com/about15370.html
and the spec which was released 3 days back also says that the 4870 is 512 and 4870x2 is 1GB

And it also says... 4870x2 will be released after 2 months....

quite impresive but thats not official!! Wait untill 4870 is out, till then these are only rumors. Plus I have higher 3Dmark 06 score than they got with GX2 and I have slower CPU??!! That stinkss to me TBH... Anyway If thats true we will have a real revolution on the market. Somehow I feel something stinks here ;-) Its hard to believe without any proofs " We have absolutely no idea how valid these results are. " This say it all. I cant wait for official release... I can promise You that my redaction will have a early sample(as always) maybe few days-week before the customers release...If i get my hand on It I will provide some results ;-)

ok... cool.. but make sure the settings are right when u check for FPS..

Have u ever noticed... nvdia driver by default will be set for performance and ATI is always set for Quality.. which eats FPS...

Even on my Onboard ATi 3200... when i installed the CAT 8.4.. the setting was for quality...

when u check... set the settings to performance... like in nvidia control panel and then check ok....

ok m8.... do u have any idea whan Far cry2 is getting released.........?

Not true! after I install my GF drivers I have same setting I had on Radeon, so no place for excuses here... I see It even more clear now:P You are an ATI/AMD fanboy and everything about nvidia stinks for You:P:P Yeah yeeah I know You had GF7600Gt I had x1950PRO but now I think GF is better so thats no proof...As for there sites You gave I have same setting and +2000 pts in 3Dm06 so this is some bull**** Anyway We will have to wait for Far Cry 2 a while...Maybe next winter or spring...

Do i look like a nut to spend hard earned money on a bull*** card... i will wait till the ATI and the Nvidia release there NEW cards... i bought 780G Motherboard to check how ATI HD 3200 IGP works... coz i was always with nvidia... my first card was 5200FX AGP then 5500FX AGP then i moved to 6800GT then to 7600GT... i have spent $120.. on my 780g motherboard to check how ATI works.. and i like the performance.. of ati... but it dosent mean.. i am blinded by ATI...

And coming to the setting part... dont tell me about that.. i have used Nvidia for more than 7years and i am seen the Nvidia console a million times... and i remember what the settings are.. and not use ur fanboy try here M8...

I will tryout both G260,G280 & 4870... then i will decide...

I am not a stupid fanboy to spend money for a brand name... i feel fanboys are stupid and don't have brains of there owe...

Final words... If G260 or G280 can beat 4870... then i will buy Nvidia.. but not with some bulls*** benchmark... but my own test...

My friend is running a hardware store and i will test these cards to decide which one to buy......

For Your info today I checked 9800GX2 + Q9400 +2GB DDR2 = 17200pts at 3Dmark06 and 58fps at Crysis so the links You gaved are some bulls***y Ati fanboy sites. At least now we all know where You get these gosip-MARKETING SLOGANS...For Your info I never visit neither ATI or Nvidia fanboy sites because they are just fooling people, I never say anything untill i check it on my own and You only have head full of some Ati promises... Whats the difference between us? I wait till i see and then say a word, You listen to some marketing-gosips.. Before youll come out with some dozens of numbers just remember HD2900XT, specs of this card were incredible the performance=dissapointing... Number aitn all, construction is more important... Then you shout about DX 10.1 but its all quiet... another Ati's big bomb with tiny blow... Youll be suprised but i like Ati more than nvidia! but look at the market right now:

Dont talk about 2900 k... for a simple reason... they did not have enough TMU and MT/S other stuff.. and u where tellin.. u checked crysis.. i tryed crysis on the very same cards.. on my friends comp with... a 9800GX2 with a dell 32" mon... the res was 1600 and i got 49FPS... so it clearly says u r blufin...

And yes i did say that they cheat with there drivers and even now... i say the same.. no change in that... and i use tweaked drivers all the time.. and i too do tweaking drivers.. dont forget that... i work as a trainer for microsoft and i love tweaking.. so i also know much more than what u know about display drives.. and there is a way to make a driver skip a frame to incerse frame rate and thats what NVIDIA dose allthe time... google it and u will get more info about that...

Ati dont play tricks like that...

Then u can talk about FPS M8
