Wrong! As a matter of fact nobody owns 60+% and the market share majority is Intel's. Check your facts next time.

As for Q1 2008, that's covered here. (both nvidia and ati experienced a decline in marketshare)

helllo!!!!!!!!????? Intel? Via?? We talk about GPU card not integrated. Read better next time...

Rynek komputerów biurkowych to 57,6 milionów sprzedanych układów graficznych. W tym segmencie prowadzi Intel z udziałem 31,8%, tuż za nim jest NVIDIA z 31% oraz AMD/ATI z udziałem 22,8%. Jeśli wykluczymy układy zintegrowane, NVIDIA posiada 63,8% rynku, a AMD/ATI 36,2%.

This is info from one of bigger polish services FrazPC.pl and it contains results from Q4 of 2007.
And for theese who doesnt understand:

PC market sold 57,6 million sold GPU's. Intel leads with 31,8% and right behind is Nvidia with 31% and AMD/ATI 22,8%. When not counting integrated GPU's Nvidia has 63,8 and AMD/ATI 36,2%.

Bro

VIA and Intel are GPU makers

GPU = Graphics Processing Unit

As i remember both of thoses companies can runs games like Crysis , Far Cry .. and name it

But slow

So they're considerated in the market share (in GPU)

And saikamaldoss it's not really new AMD buyed ATI... it's about 2 years old story AMD wanted to buy NVIDIA... before buy ATI so

Nvidia is bigger than AMD/ati too (In all the terms ) So what the hell you say AMD is bigger than NVidia?

I didnt say it and we talked about GPU's but not integrated!
Thread name : Radeon HD 3870 or XFX8800GT.......????

These came only as separate cards Besides i placed both GPU's with and without integrated stats It is logical that nvidia is bigger its longer on marked and its extremely hard to get to this stage, ATI did outstanding job fighting NV for so many years but AIT is still smaller.

Look at Q2 2006. Until that stage ATI had more marketshare than nvidia. After that things went downhill.

ok...ok.... nvdia don't make CPU but (AMD/ATI) is one company and AMD makes CPU and AMD is bigger than Nvdia right.........?

So... ATI is AMD and AMD is ATI... so they are bigger...............

No. What do you mean by bigger? Since we've already discussed marketshare an other comparison is overall financial value and nvidia is to my knowledge bigger in that respect as well.

Doesnt matter which one is bigger, I think that best thing for Us consumers woulb be if some other company would make GPU's! New option would surely forece ATI & Nvidia to threat Us more honest. It seems like both companies play a bit dirty. UNixlord is right 2-3 Years ago Nvidia was in big trouble and ATI was on top because their cards were simply faster and NV cheated Us customers. But now it all changed dramaticaly and from time perspective I think it was bad idea to let AMD buy ATi. Just look how low did Athlon went as well (then Athlon XP & Athlon 64 OWNED Intel). Both companies lost at this fusion.
