this is my rig...
1x radeon 2900 xt
q6850 quad core
asus maximus formula special edition
4gb geil black dragon 800mhz
2x wd raptors.

so i went to look for another 2900xt to make a crossfire set up , but on a lot of web sites the card seems to be discontinued , has something happened that i am not aware of?
also should i just upgrade my existing card and just get 2x 3830's ? for the 4x core's ?
i want to do a lot of rendering in MAYA is there any hardware that will speed up my rendering as its fairly average at the moment.
any help would be fab...

A better cad would be a 3870 X2, but if you want to run crossfire and the 2900xt is unavailable, try looking for the 2900 pro, the bios is flashable to XT
