#1 | | Golden Member | | RAM: 4096 Corsair 800 XMS2 | | 8800 GTX SLi Benchmark Hi all, for those who wanted to know (It was a while back now I promised to post benchmark results for my new rig, sorry). I had some problems getting most benchmarks and in particular 3dMark 06 to work on Vista 64, but ta da here it is (the only one I managed to get working, also wanted to wait until I had both GTX cards and a full ram upgrade before benchmarking) - 3d Mark 06 score: 10,773.
Not as high as I thought it would be, I think perhaps my CPU might have let me down a little but pretty tight overall -average high 50's framerate

....Well, I checked my PC specs, as registered by 3dMark 06 and it actually says that my system only has 1 gpu! So for some reason it is not registering the existence of my second card...I think this is the reason why. But I have installed latest 3dMark 06 hotfix so I don't know what else to do ( I have definately enabled SLi in Nvidia control panel ) any suggestions? Maybe you have to pay for the full version of 3dMark 06 before you can benchmark SLi?
Also, can anyone recommend any other benchmarks to use that will work with Vista 64bit?

#4 | | Newbie | hey there, just jumping in to say something's definitely not right, most likely your CPU as 3dmark06 is highly CPU intensive.
I score 10414 with a single 8800GT OC with my Intel E6600 stock.
OC'd to my normal 24/7 setting of 3.4ghz, i score 12100.
SLI'd, it jumps 20% to 14400.
I can definitely try to prove it's your CPU, because i have a brand new X2 5600+ build that I just completed (for reasons i still don't know lol) on which i can throw on one of my 8800s.
All i know, is that my X2 5600+ can't hold a candle to my E6600 stock.
3 mins flat to computer PI to x-decimals vs 1min18s speaks volumes. |

#5 | | Stuck in "April 1st" | | M/B: Asus Rampage Formula | | | RAM: G.Skill 2x2GB PI Black | | Welcome to NGOHQ.
If you had cared to read post #2 you would have realized that it is not a problem with the CPU. In fact you score rather poorly for that setup.

check your drivers (mbo and gpus)
or check that nv 3Dsetings in nv control panel under sli performance mode for 3dmark06
maybe it is only one gpu seted for tests

#8 | | Golden Member | | RAM: 4096 Corsair 800 XMS2 | | I'm pretty sure it was offline because 3dmark was saying in my system there was just one GTX card detected.. I think this is where the problem lies.

#10 | | Newbie | | PSU: Ennermax Galaxy 1000w | | Had same problem with 3dmark06 sli only one gpu recognised.
Scored 13200+ with my setup, sli definetly working as
i scored lot less in single card.
hoped score would be higher with cpu clock 3365ghz but the intel boys/girls have the upperhand for the moment. |
