Default Do you need to apply the bioshock hotfix if you have the 7,9's installed?

I just got bioshock, played it a little to test it out, its running smoothe as a baby's butt maxed out but every now and again it will stutter and lag for a moment, could be due to my limited ammout of ram but i was wondering if that wasnt perhaps what the hotfix fixed, ive got the 7.9's on here right now, should i apply the bioshock hotfix?

thanks guys

I can say Bioshock need alot of juice... if we check the proportion i bet it's because of your processor Start to be an lil bit old i checked your mobo and it's socket 754 You have an really good video card but i can assure you it's will be your cpu and your memory You can upgrade to 2 gb it's can help. And normaly if they say you have issues fixed with the lastest drivers ... download it

well honestly it plays great at max settings, i have this system tweaked to the T, its just every once in a while it will studder and lag for a moment then go back to playing fine, kinda seems like a ram thing, dont have 150$ to replace both my sticks with 1gb sticks right now so i guess i have to suffer with it
