ultra sli problem

cant get sli recognised with this setup, latest drivers installed 163.67.
games run fine, but also noticed high temp on gp2 80+ gp1 65c alienware case fans aplenty

Try to to put off the cards and put on ... clean the sli bridge ... reinstall drivers... or if it's an long time you didn't reinstall windows ... reinstall it

... Well for an 8800 Ultra if you run @ idle at 80 it's not really normal but on full load it's normal

When i have my stock cooler on my x1900 gt i reached 95 celcius just to play with far cry lol ! if you want to have lowers temps try to check if you have good thermal paste on your gpu and if you have money you can found 2 coolers for your videocards like zalman or thermaltake

If you go to the Nvidia website >downloads there is a button/link to some good Microsoft hotfixes that might help Sli system recognition (well, they seemed to iron out some issues for me) - also installing latest whql drivers 163.69 combined with the hotfixes will help. Try this, it should sort out at least a few issues...
