Old Chestnut sli on xfire

Hi firstly I'm sorry for asking this again as I'm sure its been asked many times before, however I am still trying to get this to work.

I'm looking to get my 2 7900 gto cards working with my Asus P5K motherboard. I've tried many drivers and the old sli patch but nothing.

Can anyone help or should I just bite the bullet and get myself either a new mb or card?

Vista drivers if poss?

Hi Vista is prefered, but I'm running both at the moment so what ever works.
