So far, no crashes, but then, it hasn't been that long. If you need to find this device, in your hardware manager, it's under Sound, video and game controllers, and it goes by the name of ASUS Silicon WDM Video Capture.

I hope this helps someone out there!

[Edit]
Turns out this only helped one of my problems; the crash when running dxdiag. Hopefully this will still help someone.
Thank you very much for inspiring me to disable the the ATI Function Driver for HD Audio - ATI AA01 that came with my display... No blue screen now~

I am using ASUS X1650PRO 256M, AGP. My problem is that i cant use any drivers more modern than 7.3. If i try install them i get bluescreen, rippled screen+bluescreen.

Ive not found a working solution for a year and it's getting on my nerves!

How does one solve the problem? I read something about flashing the bios on the gfx but that seems like a long shot.

what about oldest drivers?? if they work fine and you dont have blue screen why you cant use them?

I am using the 7.3 drivers, my problem escalated when i tried to upgrade the computer, it didnt work at all then. Obviously the asus x1650 is one pile of steaming c***. How would you feel using a few years old drivers because anything newer wont work? :P

But yeah, i guess this is the price you pay for having a computer with no pci-e and built in 2002(lol). Tho it appears nobody has actually got past this issue, that i am having, closest was flashing the bios of the gfx but that seems very risky.

Hi there.

After getting this anoying error after a "downgrade" from Vista to XP SP3, I searched teh internetz for a fix, 4 google pages after, hit after hit I managed to solve it by using these Omega drivers from this listing @ guru3d.
Took 2 days, but formating this thing again right after a format just didn't cut for me. And those 2 critical updates won't instal on SP3 systems.
Those Omega drivers have an amazing 248179 downloads compared to other with only 5 digits of downloads.

Might not work for you, I tried literally a few dozen suggested solutions, none worked till i tried these drivers on. Good luck.

PS: Amazing how I found this error of ati3duag.dll back to 2002, several driver versions later and I found that it's more common then it's "relative" .dll from Gforce cards. AMD really went all the way downhill from top to bottom over these last years, dragging ATI with them.
