Before we can even begin thinking of helping you, you need to list the total system specs of your PC. At this point, we don't even know where to begin.

Did you upgrade your video card? If so, from what and how did you go about upgrading? Did you remove all the previous video drivers? Did you do a new Windows installation?

We need much more information.

Having the same Ati3Duag.dll problem here. Worked fine for couple of hours after reinstalling GPU drivers and installing the two windows updates mentioned here but now it does it again.

the BSOD Ati3Duag.dll occurs when:

- I try to change graphics options or even just gamma / brightness in Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl

- When trying to launch Lego Indiana Jones

- When trying to change the graphics options on any game using the Valve Source-engine

- When trying to launch Unreal Tournament 3

My computer:

CPU Type DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2400 MHz
Video Adapter Radeon X1950 Pro Secondary (256 MB)
Motherboard Name Asus P5K
Audio Adapter Creative SB Live! 5.1 Sound Card
Memory 2x Kingston 2gb DDR2 667mhz

Perhaps this helps someone:

I had the same problem...
and i tryed a lot of solutions the problem is i dont know which of them actually worked
i play crysis cod4 nwn2 wc3 and some other games and i didnt have a bsod for month! (occational crashes to windowze but not too often)

i remember that the last thing i changed before i got rid of the bsod was a line in the BOOT.ini:

i changed

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /usepmtimer

to

multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Micro soft Windows XP Professional" /noexecute=AlwaysOff /fastdetect /usepmtimer

so give it a try maybe it works maybe not at least i didnt have any problems with the new settings...

(plz excuse my bed english, i´m german)

you can ignore the /usepmtimer setting, if it doesnt already occure in your boot.ini.
i added this for another reason (had something to do with the cool & quiet feature, it forces a specific timeig method for the cpu)

Hey Guys !
I've had the same prob with 0x0000007F..... and then ati3duag.dll as the bad part identified in the minidump logs. My system always went to BSOD while gaming and so I blaimed my new GPU and RAM for that. But after hours of system check they turned out to be alright.
Thanks to OSCARIN for his detailed report, it helped a lot to rule out all the s*** information you can find about this prob in the web.
I tried the 2 MS updates recommended by oscarin, but my system is already on SP3 so the updates are already included (at least the installer told me that).
As the system was setup new (XP home) I was careful with the graphic driver. So I took the catalyst 8.10 hotfix recommended by sapphire for stabile running. But one BSOD after another and so before getting crazy I tried to install the newest driver for ATI, the original catalyst 8.12 drivers (including CCC) and also updated my audi drivers (thanks to oscarin again for this hint).
Now my system runs stabile, even when my GPU runs on 100% all the time. The only thing that doesn't work is using in game anti alising features. As well as in Tomb Raider Legend or in GTA-SA (I play both games with 16**x1080 with all details on) the system is stabile. But when I turn on in game anti alising, the BSOD shows up again this time saying: 0x0000008E (0xC000001D, 0x.........the last three values change with each crash).
To make a long story short, my guess is, that the CCC settings (for 3D) somehow do not like to be combined with in game anti-alising settings. I will test a couple of settings to confirm that.
So update your drivers for GPU and sound and turn OFF the in game anti alising and hopefully it runs stabile again.
I hope this helps someone else too.
Best
