Given equal performance of chipset between ATI and nVidia which runs cooler?

for 7600GT and ATI equiv?

for 7900GS and ATI equiv?

thanks for helping me buy my next card... the least space heater "featured" model wins.

AFAIK the Geforces run cooler and overclock very well without significant temp increase.

first take a look at gpus cooler
if you take two gpus with stock cooler and with zalman cooler
gpu with stock cooler will be much hotter

Indeed, GeForces run cooler, but some ATi Cards are good too. I have ASUS EAX1950Pro and it came with a special heatpipe cooler and I get very good temps;
