Default Problem with Nero burning DVD+R DLs

I've wasted a total of 4 DVD+R DLs (2 Phillips and 2 Maxell) and they're quite expensive so I really like to know what the problem is.
I tried using 4x and 8x but still get this problem when I try to burn an ISO file. It always says "internet target failure" no matter using Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM. I tried burning a normal DVD+R and it works. Just the DLs don't seem to work. However, I burnt ONE DVD+R DL Phillips a few days ago and it worked; just now it doesn't anymore.
Can someone please help me; I've did an internet search but most answers don't seem concrete.
Here's the log file I saved:

Try to update the firmware of your DVDR drive and Nero to improve its media support.

I did the fireware; I'm using that weird LG GH22NS50 that comes with a stupid Bluebird program so right away I updated the fireware to TN01 to remove it
Now I'm not sure if this is the problem but I am using Nero 8.3.6.0; I know this was last year's edition but it seems weird that it was able to burn one of my DVD+R DL a few days ago but now it wouldn't.

Anyways, I used PowerISO and it worked. This means it's not a hardware related issue. Thank god; I hate hardware related issues because then I'll have to RMA the DVD Drive and that's a hassle with all the shipping fees and such as I didn't buy it here.

Thanks Regeneration!

OMG GOD HELP ME.

PowerISO has given me an Error Burning DVD+R DL disc. Now it's happening to this software as well. What is wrong with this?
This realy sucks as in that I bought this less than 3 weeks ago and it only was able to burn 2 DL discs because screwing up the rest. Can someone help me?
It only has problems burning DL discs as the other DVD+Rs are fine.

There is a big difference between...

FIRMWARE

and

FIREWIRE

There is no such thing as

FIREWARE

If you replaced a previous DVD hardware device with the new one, be sure that any Registry entries for the previous device are completely removed.

Make sure also that the power cable to the new DVD DL device is capable of providing the power essential for the duration of the burning process. IF the power is weak, it could be actually overheating the device.

Ok my bad; I did meant firmware. I updated it.
But why is it able to burn DVD+R but not DVD+R DL? It is the same brand too.

If both PowerIso and Nero are giving you burn issues most likley it is the burner. Sounds like time to RMA.

I just tried IMGBurn with slowest speed 2.4x and it worked abeit 40min to do it.
I'm just hoping it'll work next time as I don't need to burn another DL for a while.
It's weird since Nero worked the first time and then it screwed up. PowerISO worked the first time after I installed it and then it screwed up. I just hope since I just used IMGBurn once and did it sucessfully, it won't fail next time. I hope it's not the "only once per software for DL before failure!"

Hi all; I figure I should post that my DVD+R DL burning has no problems. I just used IMGBURN at slowest speed 2.4x and it worked fine.
Also I tried burning some data files with Nero 8360 at lowest speed and it worked. The problem with Nero before was I was burning an ISO file and max speed. So I figure burning DLs at slowest speed fixed the problem.
Thanks for everyone's help!
