Default Looking for video editing software

I’m looking for some good video editing software to produce professional videos (effects), but still it must to remain easy-to-use and extremely stable. So far I tried several applications but couldn’t find anything suitable for my needs. Here is the list of the video editing applications I tried:

Corel VideoStudio X2
So far the Corel was pretty good. The interface is easy-to-use and there are plenty effects to use. It also supports digital and analog capturing devices. However, the problem with the Corel is the stability… it crashes and lags for no reasons on a stable i7 system. If Corel could fix these issues, I’d love using it.

Adobe Premiere
Like all the other Adobe products, their video editing software uses the same annoying and extremely hard-to-use interface and is too expensive. In addition, it’s bloated and doesn’t support analog devices. Apparently Adobe is trying to promote their school or something… because Premiere is really complicated and requires some serious training.

Pinnacle Studio
What a complete joke! Pinnacle has separated all the features and now they sell them as plugins that you must buy to have complete video editing software. That reminds me of some greedy landlords that separate their small apartments to two to make more money. Pinnacle is greedy as hell and they don’t even support their own video capturing devices (PCTV).

CyberLink PowerDirector
After I grabbed the trial version of PowerDirector and installed it - it crashed right away. So... I removed it. Besides, I’m sick of companies that bundle stuff like QuickTime and crap like that.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Maybe try Ulead software they are really easy to use but I don't know how it will perform on i7. I had it supplied with my TV Tuner and liked it. There is also Sony Vegas or something like that. I never used it but it maybe worth trying out. Hope this will help you.

Corel bought Ulead, so Ulead is VideoStudio.

Sony Vegas is the best bet... around 120$ CAD ... Only had good comments about it. Simple to use and got alot of functionalities...

i use premiere to edit my family's home videos. you really dont need to take a class to learn it. very simple to use imo. just import the supported video. drag to timeline. make titles, transitions, effects, export to another file then youre done. not much to it. ofcourse my edits are far more complex than that but the learning curve isnt that steep. just mess around with it.

if you got physx working on an ATi card, then you can definitely do this.
