Default Counter-Strike, please Regeneration:P

im running 1,7 Ghz and ATI X1200 and i get bad FPS in counter-strike

i know that its because of drivers,

i saw Counter-strike optimized drivers but they dont work with my videocard

maybe you could update it Regeneration?

Would be really good for counter-strike fans who get bad fps because CS being old game

im running all counter-strike tweaks/computer performance tweaks what are possible..

i dont even see start bar / desktop, my graphics are ZERO(if not negative, i cant even read text).. my fps standing alone = 100, seeing somebody, drops to 70, seeing 2 enemys, 50

please :'(

I use Catalyst 7.1(the cool thing is that you can use only catalyst 7.6 for X1200 but the setup also let me to install Xpress1200 drivers theforce i can use catalyst 7.10)

Well , to be honest 50 shuld be enought in any "normal" game , but since SC is shit fuck engine wher recoil is somehow linked to fps , then i understand why you look for driver that will give you 200+ fps .

ok for
1 try a new ati driver http://www.ngohq.com/graphic-cards/1...i-8-10-cp.html
2 the ati Counter-strike optimized driver is old and well not help you out in CS no more
3 if the new ati driver dont work try to get a new ati like a ATI X19??
4 if you are in 1024X768 or more try like 800X600 or 640X480

This is an onboard video chip and according AMD optimized for a good price/value. It is based on a X700 design but with less pixel- and vertex-pipelines.

ATI Radeon Xpress X1200 is hardly apt for gamers. Only old games like Quake 3 Arena can be played in 1024x768 with high/medium details fluently. Even Warcraft 3 runs fluently with minimum details. Current, damanding games like FEAR, Doom3 and Quake 4 can hardly be played (e.g. 2 frames per second in battle scenes in Quake 4). Some strategy games like Age of Empires 3 can only be played with minimal details (20-25 fps, tested with a FSC Amilo Pa 2510).

The graphic chip supports Windows Vista Aero surface and all 3D effects run fluently. Due to HyperMemory Aero is supported with high resolutions (tested with 1280x800 + 1920x1200).

Tecnically the chip has 4 pixel-pipelines and a texture unit (with 2 vertex shaders).

IOW any effort that you make to play games with this card will be futile.

Anything above 30FPS should enable you to win the game. I used to know a guy who was VERY good, played on a Pentium3 with onboard Savage graphics and didn't loose anything because of his computer. If you can't make it, you need more practice.

chr1sen well your problem is not fps it is a lag (high latency)
i also play CSS with old pc well only there i can cheat thrue lag LOL hehehehhehe
3200+ Barton and 6600GT <<<LOL

one advice set up firewall you use and antivirus
shut down windows update so you can avoid lag
also shut down all un useful programs(like torrents and rest) when playing they can make lag
also setup update rate inside game to 100 (open console)

Or there is a better solution: stop playing that over-played game that attarct thousands of Dragonforce-listening no-lives everyday.
