Default dose new riva tuner works correcty ??

i dont get this
dose riva tuner is working correctly ??
i have overclocked my gpu core from 500 to 699 without any problems and stress it
with 3dmark06 but when i have taken a look on gpu temps it shown me aprox. 60°C
that is not right i think because my gpu works on 58°C
so guy if you have 8800GTS can you tell me is this new riva tuner working correctly with reading gpu temps ????
and why do we have driver lock on 700Mhz core????

here is a pic

you are aware the default clock on the core is only 513 MHz so the Max of 770 is most likely the maximum speed in theory that the core could run under ideal conditions with the right cooling. If you look around I think the majority of OC's on the GTS core are in the 600-625MHz so to push a core as high as you are trying would be tricky to say the least

The delay would be tied to how many seconds before the sensors update their temperature readings

overclocking of this card is very good and easy but it is strange because i have seen that guys on net get 90°C on 700Mhz clock
but i get pretty high oc without high temps so i am asking dose anyone get this issues with gts and with rivatuner because it is strange to get this low temps
i have seted a fan to its max (it is a stock cooler)

all i need to know is this ver of riva tuner giving me a true results about temps
i dont wonna to burn my card but i wonna to force it to max so i can see how high can it go without volt mod

p.s.you can find somewhere on the site my playing with 6600GT and its clock and mods
so that is nothing strange to me

If you want to overclock it over 700 MHz, modify the MaxClockLimit value (it has no value set it to "0" - dont use quotes) in rivatuner Power Users options. It should be a good idea use the Shader clock separately from the Core clock.

I never used those options (my card never overclocked like that), but it should work.

Edit: Get nTune just to see if rivatuner is reading the temperatures correctly... Also if you want, decrease the delay in the Monitor options to see it refreshing faster (dont set it to 0, but 100 ms is good already, its default is 1000ms = 1sec).

thank you very much

hehehehehhehe
Funny thing it is that shader overclocking is not giving any boost up
actually it is droping down performance funny (have set it up to 1620 and only have seen drop down)
now i can leave shader clock to default and rise core clock
