Default MemTest86...New Version = 3.3

After using MemTest86 for so long....and finding that it seldom ever got updated, I was surprised to find a newer version online just the past few days.

If you haven't gotten the newer 3.3 version, grab it here:

Memtest86.com - Memory Diagnostic

It's still FREE! Just go to the Download section and get the one you need.

  • Fixed a bug that prevented testing of low memory.
  • Added an advanced menu option to display SPD info (only for selected chipsets).
  • Updated CPU detection for new CPUs and corrected some bugs.
  • Reworked online command text for better clarity.
  • Added a fix to correct a Badram pattern bug.

I actually developed a need for an updated version is how I discovered it. It's a LONG, LONG time between Nov, 2004 (v3.2) and Jan, 2007 (v.3.3).

Of course, the one that most people are now using is MemTest86+ (v.1.70) from here:

Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool
