So was wondering how hard is it to code it. I mean is it easy enough for regen to do it. Because if it is then that is a shame with the people that they got. I want to use my 64bit browser already with a flash player....! |

#2 | | Professional Member | What are you using Windows or Linux? Its impossible to code a flashplayer for 64bit unless they open 32bit sources, we would have to start from the scracth for a 64bit flashplayer. But there are alternatives like Gnash( for linux - its still under development), nswrappluggin ( wraps 32bit to plugin to work with 64bit browser - not working 100% yet i have problems with it myself (100% usage prob in some flashes)). |

A)Flash is obsolete/replaced by something else
B)Adobe come to their senses
C)You stop caring about it
D)???

But the nswrapplugin thing. That is for windows? I am running windows Vista 64 bit so i dont know. Are you saying the programmers would have to start the 64bit coding from scratch refering to windows or linux? But either way, in this modern society im sure if a 64bit flashplayer is created that it would have backward compatability assuming that 32bit is still used which id figure it would be. I think a good opportunity is born here, a 64bit player for 64bit browsers that work with 32bit flashplayers could become a wellknown product as it would be the first one. Correct me if im wrong but the 1st always stand out the most seeing as the demand for it is high |

No, nswrapplugin is not for Windows, its for linux. Just use the 32bit IE browser, there is nothing we can do. There is no need for 64bit backward compatibility, because it will only need to know how to play flash format, there are no 32bit flashes neither 64bit flashes. |

Either way, im just wondering would it be possible to get a 32bit flashplayer working with a 64bit browser. Or would it not work? Like the linux plugins and stuff it seems that it is exactly whats happening |
