I was running Norton Internet Security until one time after a restart, i couldn't access it at all. I decided to take it out using the Windows standard add and remove programs. The uninstall somehow corrupted itself and now it looks like im stuck. Tried uninstalling it in safe mode, no luck. WinASO Registry Optimizer, no luck. CCleaner, no luck.
Now is there a way to remove ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING that is Symantec from the system without having to reboot?
Please help.
P.S. Can you recommend a good antivirus + firewall so i never have to use this again...

Symantec is known for leaving residual registry entries thats why I don't use that crap and thats how they know your license has expired even after you uninstall and reinstall it
Give JV16 powertools a shot always works well for me. On firewall and AV I use Sygate and AVG here .. no issues at all

So ill try that powertools thingy you said about. I'll see if that works. If not, well too bad ill just make a back up of some files and just re-format the whole thing.
