Default HL2 and Unreal 2004 Problems

Hey everybody, I have a slight problem with my computer, and no one I know has been able to help me fix it yet. I was hoping I could come here for some assistance.

Whenever I play any of the games from the Unreal Anthology collection or I play Half-Life 2, I'll be able to play for a while, but then my computer will abruptly turn off, stay idle for about 2 seconds, then restart.

The computer I run these games on is this:

-2.13 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
-Radeon X1900 Video Card
-ASUS P5B MotherBoard
-2 GB of RAM

The list of things I've tried are as follows:

-Updated my drivers to Omega 3.8.291 to see if it was out-of-date drivers.
-Ran a Stress Test to test if it was my CPU overheating.
-Changed the Affinities so the games would only use 1 of the 2 processors, so see if it was the Dual Core stuff causing the problems.

None of these helped the problem, and I am fresh out of ideas.

Help anyone has to offer would be MUCH appreciated.
Thanks alot,
-Onion Knight

The Power Supply is a: 12V 2.0 24Pin Blue Storm power supply w/ 120MM Fan.

Also, I just tried turning off the Auto-Restart on Blue Screen option to see if it was a system Failure, and it wasn't.

Something else too: use NGO drivers instead of OMEGA. They are a lot better

Some good advise from Gen above Bro

Try that out then this because 90 percent of the time I see a problem like this its RAM .... maybe not but easy to check ....

Try running the same software that is causing the problem with one RAM stick ... then the other ... If the error happens with one stick and not the other one may be bad. Might not be the problem but its one of the simplest checks you can do

it sounds like it could be either a lack of power of a RAM issue, if your ram chacks out you may want to try a different PSU with 38A on the 12v rail, X1900XT/XTX cards love the power, I have 2 of them

@gen.Rage1991hrv: The PSU is 500 Watts. I'm not sure if that's enough, because I've never had PSU issues before. I'll check the BIOS anyways, but I purposefully made sure not to Over-Clock my system.

@IModIntel: NGO? Never heard of them. The last thing I want to do is start fooling around with a different set of drivers, but I will definately take NGO into consideration.

@Mac Daddy: I'll definately check the indavidual RAM sticks.

Thanks for all the help guys, I'll try all of these and get back when I have sucess/failure finding the problem.
