|  How many times did you…
Had to download some patch for your game, and you went to the developer’s site and they sent you to: 3DGamers, FilePlanet, Gamespot and all these kind of sites. Then, they asked you to register, pay money and to wait in the line (Without mentioning all the ads these guys are having in their sites). Finally you downloaded it on 20KB/s (even slower if you’re located in Europe).
Did any of you experienced any of it, or is it just me? |

I have a lot of games that there is really no other option then to register
at one of these sites to get patches and even free mods! I had to register
at Gamelplanet to get *FREE* mods for Oblivion, i`m subscribed at enough
places as it is, a disturbing trend indeed....

Yes, many times. If I'm lucky I get a link to say GamersHell which has reasonably fast servers (capped at 400 or 500KB/s for a free account). Most of the time though, I'm forced to use other places with very slow servers ... like 20KB/s for a 300MB patch. 
What really hurts, is the fact that my connection allows me to DL files at upto 1.2MB/s !! ... what a waste of potential... | |

my connection limits me to 1.5 MB, yet i found my self last week downloading a patch in 5 KB/s!!!!!
this think really sucks!

Yep been there even with none game stuff Rege and its aggrivatiing to say the least ... Why should I have to create an account on CNet to DL freeware .... know what ??

or u can take patch's full name with .exe/.zip/.rar and search at www.filemirrors.com ...

Same here , and since im poor , and its even hard for me to pay for my net connection , house and stuf. I only create free acounts , never pay for the premium or some gold acc. And this laves me with the slowest serwers on this sites , and make me wait in line 40 minutes or more.
And second thing i hate is sites that wont allow resuming downloads.

have problems with that shit all the time 
it will be beter that they upload it on rapidshare
p.s. Gamespot is faster and beter for downloading patches here in europe | |

I allways try to skip that level and downlaod without register and shit. well you need to know where to download
