I finally went ahead and picked it up today for $14.99 from Best Buy. Fry's has it for $12.99 but gas would have cost me about $5 to go to Fry's.

I've just gotten off the stalker train and am really impressed with how good it looks and how well it performs. Initially, I was getting some temporary freezes in the game that were not related to loading data. But, after exiting the game and restarting it, I haven't noticed anymore. Just some very long LOADING periods at times.

Seems to be a good story with some nice puzzles to figure out. Well worth the money.

PS Also provides a nice little break from OBLIVION.

Really love the half life series.. began playing when i was a little kid with hl1.. me and my friends would join up and just look @ how wonderfull the graphics were (in that time) and how brutal the action was..

omg, that really where the good times.

When HL2 came out i went nuts.. finally a new oppertunity (sorry for my bad english ) to fight with Gordon again, the graphics were and are amazing.

Played it all the way thru 3 times and deffenatly stil my number 1 game, altough i like rpgs more.

Half life 2 ep 1 doesnt give many new features but is just a Freaken great sequel to the original half life series and damn, i cant wait till ep 2 releases.

(f i have taken the time i could get all the gramma errors out of this posts but hey, its 1 o clock in the midnight here and im pretty tired form working so show some compasion )

I like very much HL series, had played ep.1 indeed. But what I really do not like is this "episodes business". Won't buy anymore if it continues in this way, I prefer a whole game.
