Battlefield 2: What's it all about?

I'm seeing more and more positive comments about Battlefield 2.

Is it really that good of a game? Is it only MP or also SP?

What is it you like the most about it?

Battlefield 2 is one of the best MP game ever created. It does feature SP but with bots and without any plot... like Counter-Strike.

I actually have it. But, for some reason, I guess I never got into it. I noticed they recently came out with another patch for it.

Is it more or less just a Death Match/Capture the Flag-type game?

If it has Co-Op, it would be more appealing to me.

It is more like team capture the flag type. If you are looking for a good Co-Op game, I suggest Army of Two for the Xbox.

OK. So, for my interests, I like SP games somewhat like the Rainbow 6:Vegas games. I just picked up RB6:V2 about a week ago. But, I'm trying to wrap up other games I've been playing before I get too much into it.

One real bad drawback for me, where it comes to online MP, is that I cannot understand verbal communication from buddies due to my deafness. Before they developed good voice communications, I was able to use chat via typing. But, nowadays, everyone is using headphones and microphones to communicate. Kind of leaves me in the dust.

Battlefield 2 is ok but like reg siad its more of a MP game but playing with the bots is fun but it gets old. I think it does have co op i think it was lan and you could host a co op game and fight the bots.

You aren't losing much. The voice chat feature is always being abused by little annoying kids. I never use it anyway.

Thats why I don't play online games anymore. I use to tiberian sun online all the time it was great fun. But I just got so tired of people saying your cheating or cursing you out when you destroyed there bases. I know one time this guy said he was going to find out where I live and come a rape my Mom no joke. And that was because I titan rushed him and killed him.

DAmn Glad i quit long time ago. I had to quit online gaming due to extreme addiction. I spent too much time online so one day after my friends go the $#!ts with me because i was playing online instead of hanging out with them i realised that its consuming me so i had to quit and vow never to play online games again. It was tough but it was for the best. Thats why i like BF2, because you dont have to have online. The bots in the game mean you can have a game on LAN when friends dropped by. Not the same i know but still fun.

BTW did anyone here play Shattered Galaxy about 15 years ago? thats the game i got addicted to
