Default Battlefield 2 - Patch 1.50 Released

If anyone is still playing this game, a brand new patch has just been released.

There are several download sites so, just Google for it and choose the speediest one you can find.

Here are some key features of "Battlefield 2":

· Online multiplayer action with up to 64 players on the PC.
· All-new gameplay engine brings the immense locations to life complete with realistic physics and dynamic lighting.
· Maps scale to the number of players engaging in battle for a unique and intense experience every time.
· Take control of over 30 land, sea, and air vehicles, including tanks, helicopters, hovercraft, fast attack vehicles, and fighter jets.
· Choose to battle as U.S., Chinese, or Middle East Coalition troops, each with their own unique arsenals.
· A variety of solider classes including Assault, Sniper, Special Ops, Combat Engineer, Medic, Heavy Weapons, and Anti-Tank units.
· New state-of-the-art weapon systems, including wire-guided missiles and laser designated bombs.
· Material penetration feature makes sure players know the difference between cover and concealment.
· Character Persistence and Growth. With in-game success, players increase their rank from recruit all the way to General and unlock new weapons, medals, and more.
· Join a squad or select the new Commander Mode to assume the strategic role of a battlefield commander directing his forces.
· Full in-game community support including, buddy lists, stat tracking, live chat rooms, and in-game clan creation.
· Voice over IP supported with headset.


What's New in This Release:

· Fixed the Hmmwv with TOW crash on Battlefield 2: Special Forces maps
· Fixed the Battle Recorder crash
· Fixed the screen capture
· Fixed the issue with Pixel Shader 1.4 video cards
· Fixed the issue that caused heat seeking missiles to stick to oil towers
· Fixed the issue that caused heat seaking missiles to ziz-zag
· Reduced the maximum number of claymores that can be dropped to 2
· Fixed the Server Browser filter to enable search by map name
· Fixed the error in Client - Server communication causing sound, animation and other sync issues.

the patch is a blast!
adds armored furry, euroforce to the same game (no need for different servers) and also removes the need for the dvd to play

I do understand that you need to patch up to the previous patch first and then apply the 1.50.

yes, the 1.41 patch must be applied before the 1.50

yeah, no more daemon-tools with miniiso needed to play the game!
its aweful to have a real dvd in the drive which turns up from time to time like a jet...

the only feature i do not like on the patch is the stuff with prone... noobs dont go prone, skilled do, and get less accuracy for it now :/

beside this... fine, now i have to check if my whole private ranking system is still working...
