taking screenshots on PS3

anyone has any idea how to take ingame screen shots on a PS3 system?
some say to use a hdmi capture card on my pc but, my pc is more than 5 meters away from the console, so no go
some say that there is a dev software somewhere to download and use but I didn't find it

I guess you need a HDMI or RCA capturing card.

some games, like resistance 2 allow taking ss but only in mp games via a usb keyboard
