It's really quite well-done. Epic story, intriguing side quests, true RPG Leveling system and combat.... Where is everyone?

I have to say I've really enjoyed it.... for the most part. A few areas were very challenging but, at least one could go away, level up, and come back again another day to complete them. [Think: Mother Ratinksky!!]
With the experience of the game under my belt now, I'll likely go through it again very soon and use some of this experience early on to handle things with better leveling and tactics.
All in all, it's very immersive and the story does keep things interesting.

#16 | | Golden Member | Finally got the game and must say I'm enjoying it so far.
I managed to slay the bear and free the wacky mage, then it was time for bed. Actually, it was time for bed a lot before that, but what the fuck.
I chose that middle east mage class, I think it was the metamage (the one that can summon the fire elemental) and things go well for now. I obviously upgraded the plant lore right from the beginning. The thing I especially like is the magic system because you don't have to rest that often and it's more concentrated on action.
I think games like these are perfect examples/proof that there is some corruption going on in game reviewer circles. I expected the game to be a lot worse from what I read, but it's obvious that this is a rather fresh RPG title.

But, don't quote me on that. What both games do have in common is that the developers are fairly unknowns. At least that's true outside Poland and Germany. I'm waiting to see if my d-i-l is going to play this one and, if she hesitates too long, I'll grab it back from her and have another go at it.

#18 | | Golden Member | CD project are Polish? I thought they were Chezk.
The only problem I had with Drakensang for now is that it crashes *often* on windows7. Is there some update?
