Default Best Games of 2008

This is somewhat more difficult than pointing out the biggest failures. One reason is the fact that a few great games that were scheduled for 2008 got pushed back to 2009.

In no particular order:
1)Fallout 3
2)NWN2: Storm of Zehir
3)Stalker: Clear Sky
4)Dead space
5)Prince of Persia (with less light seed collection)

Crysis: Warhead would have made the list if it wasn't so frickin short.

May 2009 bring us better games. (Project origin and Starcraft2 please)

4) Crysis Warhead.

definetly a tough one

- Fallout 3
- Mass Effect
- Dead Space (but too short)
- The witcher Enhanced edition (i know the original was 07 but i dont care lol)
- World of Goo (very adictive puzzles, my only complaint is that it was a little too emo-esque)

The Witcher Enhanced Edition is the version that should have been released originally. But, since it was released in 2008, it gets my vote hands down.

Sadly, my gaming budget for 2008 was quite diminished due to health issues and car problems. I'm hoping 2009 brings me better luck and some extra cash for what I truly enjoy.

Assassin's creed
Call of duty world at war
Pure
Prince of persia
Need for Speed Undercover (except graphix game is not so bad)
Silent Hill Homecoming
Spore
Tension

These games are my favs of year 2008. As i seen in topic about worst games of 2008 you don't agree with me about some titles from this list.

Assassin's creed... ye, this game is what i was waitin for a long years of my gaming, best game of ex year.

Call of duty world at war. Come back of wwII, engine of cod4.... but game is making you want to play it. Really good game for me, even if i do not like games about war.

Pure... that's something fresh in gaming, with nice graphics, not so high requirments. ATV races are something cool and giving a lots of fun.

Prince of Persia... oh, you blame it like... like... i have no idea with what i can compare your blaming on this game. You say: "cartoon graphics looks ugly" i say" "cartoon graphics looks fresh and really fine, i like it". You say: "hack and slash game, somethin like mario bros hacking and slashing mashrooms around" i say: "this combat way is dynamic and at all really great, i really like it". For me PoP is even better than sands of time.

Undercover... game is really good, it has few issues:
-bugged civilians and police ai
-bugged graphics engine
-weak-looking graphics
-high system requirments as for graphics like it look
-hidden in registry many setting what you do not have in game menu
But races, variety of modes of races, big territory whole enable for driving from start it makes me i like play this game.... and waiting for patch what will repair these issues what i described here :-)

Silent Hill Homecoming... hmmm... great come back of Silent Hill after fucked SH3 and room. This game is on my personal list on 2nd place as game of the year of 2008.

Spore... same as with PoP, i do not understand your blaming on this game, it is really good for all people in every age, almost everyone (excepts you guys) who i know like this game and they are saying game is awesome.

Tension... temporary i've only read it is description, but waitin for a package. And soonly i will post some screens from game and tell here somethin more about it :-)

PoP is fine if you download a trainer that gives you light seeds. That's the only part I can't stand. Running around collecting frickin glowing orbs. Apparently console gamers are like MMORPG gamers, they thrive on doing meaningless boring stuff. Achievements, unlockable crap pfft.

Update: I just finished Prince of Persia. Hands down one of the best video game endings in years, apparently a lot of people misunderstood it (including myself at first) .

GTA IV PC, no bugs or problems here, therefore nothing but a great game on the PC for me. Shame it lacks longevity, but it lasted longer than most.

GTA4, hands down. GTA4 has a mix of every aspect of a game you can possibly want all in one game. Other games may have one aspect of GTA in their game but you'll end up wanting to just play GTA4 instead. Any car racing game is fine, but you can't get out of the car. Any shooting game is fine but you can't drive. GTA4 just has it all and does it all almost as good as any game like it plus much more.
