#1 | | Master of Disaster | | CPU: Phenom II x3 720 @ 3.4 | | Is GTA 4 really that bad on pc? Well, my girlfriend bought me GTA 4(pc) for christmas, but from all the things ive been reading I have a feeling it wont run well on my rig, and I typically dont bother with games that i cant max out (which actually hasnt been an issue yet cuz i havent found one that i cant, less crysis but who cares)
Anyways, i dont want to break the seal because once I do then i cant exchange it and Ive really been wanting fallout 3.
So whats the word, can anyone confirm that gta 4 is trully a horrid port, or is it over exagerated? |

#2 | | Site Staff | Check out the screenshots inside the screenshots forum. Except of these glitches and the messed shadows, the game is barely running on my system. I'll wait until AMD releases hotfix and Rockstar patch it up. |

#8 | | Dedicated Member | the biggest issue may be
AMD Athlon 64 3200+
It is a system hog, that also needs around 1Gig of ram exclusively to run.
On your system i would skip it. |

#10 | | Dedicated Member | Well i know looking at task manager while playing it was consuming around 967MB of ram, so 1GB regardless of OS, would have a lot of paging of OS/game going on which would make it jerky. |
