To be honest I don't really know, from what i've heard GTA 4 is supposed to be a good game (though strangely I don't feel compelled to go and buy it at all) - but the point is that if you really want Fallout 3 instead, then just get that game instead!

I would keep the seal on gta though, otherwise they probably wont let you swap it...

this is the situation most people face where a small game demo answers the question. If there was a game demo you could download to see how it runs you would know what to do. But nowadays it is rare to get a demo.

I agree I always like to try a demo, for consumers its much better, of course for the developer/publisher its not so good an effect on sales if the game is sh*t...

..but if they are so confident that the game is good (like Rockstar is) then why not... for them though, its a gamble i guess.

yea i was hoping there was a demo but was dissapointed to find none.

Like i said, this rig hasnt faild me yet, ive run everything on it maxed out, except crysis was a little laggy but i didnt bother playing it. Actually ive had games where the installation tells me i dont have a good enough system to play it and i can play it totally maxed out, so they can take their requierments and stick em up their ***

But i really dont think this game will run well if so many people are having problems, i think i should just wait a few months, hoping to build a new rig within the next few months *fingers crossed* so maybe then

Your rig is not going to handle the game, period. It's not even a matter of if the game is a good game or not. My rig is similar to yours and I know I have no chance to run this game. Trade the game in for something your PC can actually use.

its stupid though cuz the graphics arent that good, i can run anything maxed out, s.t.a.l.k.e.r, gears of war, bioshock, assasins creed, you name it i can max it out, asside from crysis, must be a very bad port

man i wish they had a demo for this game, effin assholes

the bigges thing holding you back is that hd2400, you cant really comapir it to the x1950, your rig would do alright with a better vid card

I think we can get away with both of our GPU'S, (but yes, your X1950 is a lot better) but the game needs two good CPU cores to get anywhere. One core is just not going to cut it.

see ive had games tell me that before and i still was able to max them out with about 25 fps avrage(which is acceptable to me)

but yea with what everone is saying I think this game is just too poorly ported and optimized, its a shame because i really wanted to play it and i really hate returning gifts cuz i just feel like a dirt bag lol
